Last week, Shoppers Foundation for Women’s HealthTM (the “Foundation”) released its second annual Impact Report, highlighting the work they are doing to improve access to care, increase awareness of women’s unique health needs and support critical women’s health research and innovation.

Thanks to the support of colleagues, store teams and customers, the Foundation donated over $12.8M in 2024 to help reduce the health inequities faced by women in Canada. This impressive number is just one of many highlights that you can read about in the 2024 Impact Report on the Shoppers Foundation for Women’s HealthTM website.

Here are four takeaways of what made 2024 such a strong year for the Foundation:

  1. Over 1 million women reached through the community partnerships and programs we funded throughout the year.

  2. Sharpened focus and commitment towards menstrual equity through the Community Grants program to organizations like The Period Purse and a $500,000 commitment to grow our partnership with Moon Time Connections, Canada’s only Indigenous-led period equity organization.

  3. Awareness-building and support for over 300 local women’s shelters and programs across Canada through the annual Giving Shelter campaign.

  4. Over 27K participants in the Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women across 18 communities in Canada, supporting women’s mental health.
